Project Overview
This multi-phase project began with creating a logo for the city of Phuket, followed by designing a tourism brochure and a die-cut cover. The goal was to highlight Phuket’s vibrant culture, iconic landmarks, and appeal as a premier travel destination. Expanding upon this foundation, the project evolved into a broader tourism campaign, incorporating additional elements such as postcards to strengthen the visual identity and promotional reach of the campaign.

The Challenge
1. Logo Design: Develop a logo that captures the essence of Phuket, blending its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and modern tourism appeal.
2. Brochure Design: Create an engaging, visually dynamic brochure that serves both as a guide and as a compelling piece of marketing material for tourists.
3. Campaign Expansion: Build a cohesive visual identity across multiple mediums, including postcards, ensuring brand consistency and enhancing Phuket’s image as a must-visit destination.

The Process

Phase 1: Logo Design
• Researched Phuket’s identity, focusing on its key attractions, such as the Big Buddha, vibrant beaches, and Old Phuket Town’s colorful architecture.
• Designed a logo featuring a modern typeface with bright, tropical colors and a plumeria flower, symbolizing Phuket’s natural beauty and warmth.

Phase 2: Brochure and Die-Cut Cover
• Crafted a tourism brochure with a clean layout and vibrant imagery, highlighting Phuket’s iconic attractions, such as Patong Beach, Bangla Road, and Old Phuket Town.
• Designed a die-cut cover that incorporated the silhouette of the Big Buddha, creating a unique tactile and visual experience.
• Balanced informational text with high-quality visuals to appeal to both practical and emotional aspects of travel planning.

Phase 3: Campaign Expansion
• Designed postcards to complement the brochure, each showcasing a different facet of Phuket’s charm—beaches, historic streets, and cultural landmarks.
• Explored Adobe Firefly, an AI-driven tool, to generate unique and immersive imagery for the postcards. This allowed for creative experimentation and provided a fresh perspective, blending realistic and artistic visuals that captured the spirit of Phuket.
• Maintained consistent branding through the logo, typography, and color palette, ensuring all elements worked cohesively as part of the broader campaign.

The Solution
1. Logo: A modern and versatile logo that embodies Phuket’s tropical charm and vibrant energy, adaptable for print and digital applications.
2. Tourism Brochure: A die-cut cover featuring the Big Buddha and a dynamic interior layout that seamlessly blends imagery and information, guiding visitors through Phuket’s attractions.
3. Postcards: A set of visually striking postcards that serve as both souvenirs and promotional tools, encouraging deeper engagement with Phuket’s unique offerings.

Impact
• Visual Identity: Successfully established a cohesive visual identity for Phuket, combining modern design with cultural and natural elements.
• Tourist Appeal: The brochure and postcards effectively captured the attention of potential visitors, highlighting the city’s diverse attractions in an engaging and memorable way.
• Campaign Expansion: The integration of multiple touchpoints (logo, brochure, postcards) created a unified campaign that could be easily scaled to other promotional materials.
