Overview:
This project involved designing an innovative and functional package for the Royal Nut Company’s 30g almond snack pack, targeted as a daily health-boosting snack. The objective was to create a visually appealing yet practical design that adhered to food packaging standards, highlighted the brand identity, and resonated with the health-conscious consumer market.
Process:
• Research & Concept Development: Conducted thorough research on FMCG trends in nut packaging, creating mood boards and concept sketches inspired by clean, modern aesthetics and consumer preferences.
• Die Line Creation: Designed a precise die line in Adobe Illustrator, ensuring structural functionality and optimal print setup with accurate bleed, cut, and fold lines.
• Design Execution: Used a two-color palette with additional black and white accents to maintain a minimalist yet premium look. Developed a unique pattern featuring almond illustrations that added a touch of character to the design while maintaining brand coherence.
• Compliance with Standards: Incorporated all necessary food packaging standards, including nutritional information, barcode placement, and recycling symbols.
• Prototyping: Printed, assembled, and evaluated a physical prototype to ensure the design’s practicality and shelf appeal.
Outcome:
The final design successfully balances aesthetic appeal and functionality, reflecting the Royal Nut Company’s commitment to quality and health-conscious living.
